Job description
Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to blend commercial expertise, supplier collaboration, and customer insight to stimulate meaningful growth within IXOM's Life Sciences division. As Product Manager - Food Ingredients, you will take charge of a dynamic and expanding portfolio in New Zealand, primarily based at the Avondale office in Auckland with potential consideration for Christchurch and regular visits to Auckland.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement portfolio strategy including pricing and performance oversight
- Support sales teams through product knowledge, pricing insights, and technical expertise
- Engage directly with customers to identify growth opportunities and market demands
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure efficient product availability
- Manage demand forecasting, stock levels, and inventory optimization
- Source and develop products in partnership with suppliers and global teams
- Drive new business growth and nurture existing client accounts
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, and customer relationship management data
Candidate Profile
- Professional experience in food ingredients, food manufacturing, or related sectors
- Background in product management, commercial roles, or sales
- Strong commercial insight with focus on growth and profitability
- Confidence in collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams
- Ability to convert technical details into actionable solutions
- Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable in evolving markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Nutrition, or relevant disciplines
- Experience managing supplier relationships or overseeing imported product lines
