Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Designer to play a pivotal role in crafting the next generation of financial guidance and investment experiences. Working closely within a Product squad, you will lead design efforts from discovery through delivery, creating user-centric, intuitive solutions that simplify complex financial decisions and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Join the engagement and planning team focusing on both mobile and web platforms, managing the entire user experience from initial research to high-fidelity design and continual iteration based on user feedback.
- Transform insights from user research, data analysis, and business objectives into seamless and elegant design solutions.
- Rapidly prototype, test with users, and refine concepts to validate ideas early in the process.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and financial experts to shape and evolve the digital products.
- Leverage generative AI thoughtfully to enhance problem analysis, ideation, and prototyping workflows.
- Contribute actively to evolving the 'Ink' design system by improving components, design patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Focus on raising design standards through meticulous UI craftsmanship and emphasis on usability.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of experience designing digital products end-to-end in close collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating strong UX research, interaction design, and visually polished execution.
- Experience contributing to and evolving design systems.
- Effective communicator and collaborator who thrives in team environments.
- Ability to maintain high-quality outcomes while working efficiently and prioritizing effectively.
- Proficient in testing and validating prototypes with real users.
- Comfortable integrating AI into the design workflow, using it to enhance efficiency and innovation with sound design judgment.
- Resourceful problem solver who thrives in ambiguous situations, bringing clarity and structured solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to designing native mobile applications (iOS or Android).
- Experience in fintech or financial services is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with behavioral design principles and methodologies.
About You
- Passionate about making a positive impact on people's financial lives.
- Strong team player with collaborative spirit across departments.
- Analytical thinker enthusiastic about solving complex challenges creatively.
- Driven to achieve ambitious goals and willing to engage in hands-on work to meet them.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Figma.
- Experience with user testing tools such as usertesting.com, Lyssna, or Userlytics.
- Knowledge of AI-augmented design processes.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is £45,000 to £52,000 per annum, depending on experience, supplemented by bonus and benefits including:
- 18 remote workdays annually for non-regulated roles.
- Bonus schemes for roles without commission.
