Role Summary

The Procurement Officer will be based in Dubai and will handle end-to-end buying activities that support construction, marine, and engineering operations. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on keeping materials and services flowing on time, at the right cost, and in line with project expectations.

What You Will Do

• Identify, source, and assess suppliers for materials and services required by ongoing projects.
• Prepare, issue, track, and reconcile purchase orders using ERP or similar systems.
• Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and vendor selections to meet project and business needs.
• Monitor supplier delivery timelines and performance to ensure commitments are met.
• Maintain organized procurement records, documentation, and transaction history.
• Work with project managers, finance, and operations teams to anticipate material requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Support cost control efforts while maintaining required standards of quality.
• Follow internal policies, procurement procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in purchasing workflows and procurement efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should bring practical procurement and purchasing experience, ideally with exposure to construction, marine, or industrial environments. Strong coordination, documentation, and negotiation abilities are important, along with comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing sourcing and procurement activities from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience with purchase order creation, monitoring, and reconciliation in ERP or comparable systems.
• Ability to negotiate with vendors on pricing, selection, and agreements.
• Strong analytical ability to compare quotes, review supplier performance, and support cost-related decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Professional procurement or supply chain certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Previous work as a Procurement Officer or in a similar position in construction, marine, or industrial sectors is beneficial.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP platforms and basic financial understanding.
• Commitment to ethical, compliant purchasing practices.
