Position Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Officer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves adhering to set procurement strategies to secure the best value for expenditures on goods, monitoring procurement cycles, managing stock levels, and identifying purchasing needs to support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Procurement Manager in preparing and implementing strategic plans for the procurement department.
• Generate comprehensive stock analysis reports considering item movement and feedback from Area Sales Managers and submit them promptly to the Procurement Manager.
• Manage the requisition process by evaluating submitted proformas and quotations, issuing purchase orders, and handling related procurement documentation.
• Ensure purchase orders are accurate concerning items, quantities, due dates, conditions, and receipt timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain records that prevent stock shortages.
• Prepare daily procurement cycle reports as requested by the Procurement Manager to ensure timely product delivery.
• Maintain an up-to-date and precise supplier database.
• Coordinate shipment insurance enrollment to mitigate risks of damage or loss during transit.
• Ensure all special orders are approved by customers and entered into the ERP system.
• Provide customers with Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets upon request.
• Oversee customs documentation processes, collaborate with shipping agencies to resolve discrepancies, and avoid demurrage or port shortage charges.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to receive order updates, clarify material specifications, respond to inquiries, and resolve any procurement issues.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 4 years of experience in stock management or purchasing of goods.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Fluent in both English and Arabic languages.
• Good understanding of procurement cycle, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to analyse diverse data sources and prepare accurate reports reflecting procurement progress.
• Excel at planning, organizing, and multitasking under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation capabilities.
• Analytical mindset to efficiently manage departmental data.
