About the Role
Sanderson, a well-established and expanding consumer products company located in the border area of Louth/County Down, Ireland, is seeking a Procurement Manager. This role involves leading the strategy, sourcing, and oversight of a varied non-food product portfolio servicing retail markets throughout Ireland and the UK. The successful candidate will handle a significant spend between €9 million and €15 million and will have direct engagement with senior company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a product range strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Identify new product opportunities using market research and customer insights.
- Formulate pricing strategies and define market positioning.
- Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation processes, and foster strong supplier partnerships.
- Create collaborative business plans with brand partners and manufacturers.
- Oversee product development budgets and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Support launches and marketing campaigns for new products.
- Perform competitor analysis and track market trends to maintain competitiveness.
- Provide profit analysis, sales forecasting, and commercial strategy recommendations.
- Monitor product performance and implement ongoing improvements.
- Work closely with sales teams by providing product training and launch assistance.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years’ experience in procurement, product management, or category management roles.
- Proven capability in managing products through their complete lifecycle.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical abilities, and negotiation skills.
- Adept at influencing stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Experience in developing and implementing product or category strategies.
- Good understanding of consumer products, retail, or distribution sectors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), or online advertising.
- Experience dealing with international suppliers and manufacturers.

Work Pattern and Reporting
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director.
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with early finishes on Fridays.
- Primarily office-based role with some remote working flexibility.
