Procurement Manager

Position Overview

Nord Anglia Education's Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee and direct all procurement operations within the school. The primary focus is to ensure that sourcing of goods and services is efficient, compliant with relevant policies, and delivers value, thereby supporting superior operational standards and enriching the learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the procurement strategy in alignment with the school's and regional goals.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager, Senior Leadership Team, and Finance Manager to create annual procurement plans.
• Champion cost-efficiency measures through competitive bidding, benchmarking, and strategic contract negotiations.
• Manage tendering procedures in adherence to governance protocols.
• Negotiate and oversee commercial contracts and supplier agreements.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with local laws, internal financial controls, and organizational policies.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records to support audits and governance.
• Develop and sustain strong supplier partnerships and monitor their performance to reduce operational risks.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure prompt sourcing and delivery of resources and services.

Candidate Profile

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Professional certification in procurement such as CIPS or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, supply chain management, or commercial roles.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Strong financial insight and analytical skills.
• Experience working within structured governance and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Qatar procurement regulations is advantageous.
• Experience in education, hospitality, or service sectors is desirable.
