Process Technician

Position Overview

Join our team in Goa as a Process Technician, where your role will be pivotal in enabling consistent and quality production processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You'll work in close collaboration with Team Leaders and Process Engineers to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and Process Engineers to execute standard production workflows.
• Verify adherence to Bill of Materials, technical drawings, routings, and work instructions during manufacturing.
• Innovate or adjust processes, tools, fixtures, or equipment to enhance manufacturing reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Report detailed feedback on yield performance issues to Process Engineers.
• Conduct root cause analyses on product failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to boost first pass yield.
• Develop action plans and perform audits to prevent non-conformity in products and highlight disciplinary problems to Shift Supervisors.
• Support the introduction of new products on the manufacturing floor.
• Manage urgent machine and equipment breakdowns including maintenance tasks.
• Implement Engineering Change Notices as required.
• Participate in a 3-shift rotation schedule.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree holders with 1-2 years’ relevant experience or Diploma holders with 3-4 years’ experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience in medium volume and mix electro-mechanical manufacturing environments with focus on manufacturing processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with various levels of personnel and external stakeholders, capable of influencing and negotiating on complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using SAP software is an advantage.
