Overview

GateSource HR Mining Recruitment is supporting an exploration and development business in its search for a senior executive to step into the President role. This position will act as the company’s top operational and commercial leader, responsible for steering daily execution and helping deliver critical minerals projects successfully.

Working in close partnership with the CEO, the President will convert strategy into practical execution, advance fundraising efforts, and manage relationships with investors and other stakeholders to create durable long-term value.

Key responsibilities

The role centers on leading operations, guiding technical execution, supporting capital formation, and representing the business externally.

  • Oversee daily activity across exploration, development, and corporate operations.
  • Turn the strategic plan into execution and keep projects aligned with milestones, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Ensure strong standards around safety, sustainability, and regulatory adherence.
  • Contribute senior-level geological and technical guidance to exploration and development programs.
  • Evaluate new project prospects and partnership opportunities in the critical minerals space.
  • Support the creation of technical documents and disclosures, including NI 43-101 and JORC reporting.
  • Drive capital raising initiatives through equity, debt, and strategic investor channels.
  • Handle ongoing investor relations, roadshows, and communications with analysts and shareholders.
  • Work with the CEO to prepare and present persuasive investor materials.
  • Represent the company in discussions with government agencies, Indigenous groups, local communities, and industry organizations.
  • Negotiate agreements and permitting matters that move projects forward.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in mineral exploration and development, with meaningful exposure to critical minerals.
  • Demonstrated executive leadership experience as a President, COO, or VP of Exploration/Development in a public or growth-stage mining company.
  • Strong history of raising capital and managing investor relations for junior or mid-tier mining businesses.
  • Working knowledge of project economics, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and multi-jurisdictional operations.
  • Well-developed commercial and operational judgement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation ability.
  • Capability to build trusted relationships with investors, boards, governments, and communities.
  • Leadership style grounded in integrity and ESG commitment.
