Power BI Architect

About the Role

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is looking for an experienced Power BI Architect with 8 to 15 years of expertise to lead design and implementation of business intelligence solutions. The role is based in Kolkata and involves hands-on development, architectural leadership, and strategic collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and efficient BI solutions leveraging Power BI.
• Establish semantic data models and follow best practices in data modeling for enterprise-level reporting.
• Create complex, customized Power BI reports and dashboards that align with business needs.
• Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Azure services such as Synapse and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Work closely with stakeholders to capture requirements and convert them into technical solutions and BI strategies.
• Support pre-sales and consultancy efforts by explaining BI concepts and demonstrating value to clients and partners.
• Lead BI projects with technical guidance, conducting design reviews, and enforcing development standards.
• Document BI system architectures, data flows, and related integration processes for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Candidate Requirements

• 8 to 15 years of professional experience in Power BI and BI solution architecture.
• Proficient understanding of semantic modeling and enterprise data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on expertise integrating Power BI visuals with Azure data services such as Synapse and ADF pipelines.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex BI requirements into actionable technical plans.
• Proven leadership capabilities in mentoring teams and managing BI projects.
• Ability to perform in pre-sales and client-facing technical discussions.
