Company Overview
Artemis ARC is recruiting for a full-time Program Management Office (PMO) Project Scheduler to contribute to the Veteran and Family Member Program (VFMP) at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Role Summary
The Project Scheduler will oversee the creation and upkeep of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) along with supporting documents to coordinate multiple workstreams such as modernization, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Knowledge Management, and Change Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Constructing and managing the IMS in a project management software like MS Project, outlining milestones, timelines, task dependencies, and critical paths.
- Incorporating Change Management and Knowledge Management tasks into the IMS and linking schedules to existing VFMP tools and tracking systems.
- Breaking down tasks, durations, and dependencies for activities including project management, development, analysis, communications, change management, implementation, strategic planning, and risk management.
- Maintaining the master testing schedule, risk registries, stakeholder responsibility matrices, and dependency documentation.
- Monitoring schedule adherence against baselines, identifying potential delivery risks or deviations, and escalating any impacts on scope, schedule, or budget.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly status updates, quarterly portfolio progress reports, briefing presentations, and meeting documentation, delivering these within three business days post-meeting.
- Facilitating schedule input coordination for project reviews such as Integrated Baseline Reviews, Milestone Reviews, and decision points.
- Collaborating with the Portfolio Manager, VA Program Manager, and project teams, including the Data Integration Project, to update schedules.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least four years’ experience in project scheduling or PMO support, ideally within large corporations or government agencies, preferably in healthcare.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credentials.
- Expertise in managing Integrated Master Schedules using MS Project or comparable tools, including critical path and dependency analysis.
- Experience in maintaining risk and stakeholder registries and supporting program reporting.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with a focus on future trends and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Proven capability to handle competing deadlines efficiently.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting complex projects and transformation initiatives within the federal government sector.
- Ability to nurture complex client relationships professionally.
- Authorization to work legally in the United States and capability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.
- Exceptional time management, analytical, and prioritization skills, coupled with effective communication, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to remain composed amid pressure and fast-changing environments, readily accept feedback, and swiftly implement necessary adjustments.
- A strong desire to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving workplace.
Additional Information
This position is contingent upon client approval, meeting security standards, and adherence to possible on-site requirements, which may change upon contract award. The role is primarily remote, but occasional travel to client locations might be needed.
