Role Overview

We are seeking a Planner to join our building team located in County Carlow. In this role, you will engage with some of Ireland's largest and most dynamic construction and civil engineering projects, gaining valuable experience and developing your expertise to the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilise Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta to plan projects effectively
• Track and measure project progress continuously
• Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with site management, design teams, and subcontractors to coordinate schedules
• Maintain and update contract programmes accurately
• Monitor subcontractor performance and progress
• Develop and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Interpret drawings to calculate quantities for progress reporting
• Support integration of project schedules with Building Information Modelling (BIM) for 4D planning
• Offer strategic advice aimed at protecting project milestones and promoting development
• Work collaboratively within a team environment, adapting flexibly to workload demands

Candidate Profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a planning role within building construction, preferably with a main contractor
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, sequencing processes, and timeframe management
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Capable of managing multi-disciplinary building projects
• Technically adept in interpreting drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, critical path programming, and network analysis
• Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Effective communicator and cooperative team player
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving
• Possession of a full driving license
• Legal eligibility to work in Ireland and fluent in English
