About the Role
NHS Fife invites applications for the position of Band 5 Physiotherapist to become part of the Community Rehabilitation Team located in Glenrothes. This opportunity suits newly qualified physiotherapists aiming to hone foundational clinical expertise, or current Band 5 professionals eager to expand their experience within a supportive, dynamic rehabilitation setting. The team provides personalized, goal-oriented rehabilitation services to adults recovering from medical, surgical, neurological, or frailty-associated conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physiotherapy assessments and deliver treatment and rehabilitation for adult patients presenting diverse conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, and rehabilitation support workers to develop and implement patient-centered rehabilitation plans.
- Facilitate safe patient discharge processes and ensure appropriate referrals and communication with community services.
- Engage in service improvement initiatives, quality assurance, and audits.
- Support the education and development of students and rehabilitation support workers as appropriate.
- Maintain precise and timely clinical records consistent with HCPC standards and NHS Fife policies.
Candidate Profile
- HCPC registration is required; pending registration acceptable for recent graduates.
- Possess strong skills in communication, organization, and clinical reasoning.
- Demonstrate empathy and adaptability with a commitment to person-centered care.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Committed to continuous professional development and learning.
