Overview

The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in patient care by coordinating with doctors and patients to ensure proper medication management. This role involves providing professional guidance on medicine dosages, securely handling prescriptions, dispensing medicines accurately, and maintaining pharmacy records and stock.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients for medication coordination.
• Maintain professional eye contact and effective communication with patients.
• Advise on medicine dosages and suitable medication forms.
• Ensure medicines are correctly dispensed as per prescriptions and billed accurately.
• Maintain appropriate and secure storage conditions for medicines and monitor temperature.
• Keep accurate pharmacy and stock registers updated.
• Manage prescription handling and medicine dispensing processes.
• Create and submit indents to pharmacy stores for timely restocking.
• Organize medicines by color coding to distinguish look-alike, sound-alike, high-risk, and high-alert drugs.

Requirements and Skills

• Adhere to prescribed dress code: males should wear tie, neat black shoes, and well-groomed shirt; females are to wear red top and blue pant uniform.
• Good understanding of pharmacy practices and medical terminology.
• Ability to manage and lead a team flexibly.
• Strong communication skills for patient interaction.
