About the Role and Team
The Performance Marketing team is a specialized internal group within The Walt Disney Company marketing division that utilizes advanced advertising technologies and data-driven insights to optimize results across auction-based and other addressable media channels. This division integrates Marketing Technology, Marketing Science, Marketing Strategy & Operations, Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Compliance to enhance advertising efficiency and protect Disney's brand integrity.
This position belongs to the Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations group, collaborating closely with internal marketing units, external media agencies, and performance activation partners to support a wide array of Disney brands.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Team Lead to craft and implement comprehensive performance marketing strategies across diverse Disney brands.
- Develop and execute omni-channel audience data strategies incorporating first-, second-, and third-party data.
- Design and manage auction bidding, pacing, and optimization tactics to boost media effectiveness.
- Identify critical performance factors in media campaigns and generate insights to optimize budget allocation aligned with business objectives.
- Handle ad platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Snapchat, TikTok, Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Google DV360, and The Trade Desk, coordinating with sales and operations teams.
- Lead continuous testing and learning cycles in collaboration with Marketing Science and Analytics to assess and refine marketing approaches.
- Analyze and communicate findings from campaign data and experiments together with analytics and agency teams.
- Work cross-functionally with media, marketing teams, and agencies to enhance overall marketing performance.
- Maintain ongoing communication with media agency activation teams to ensure correct campaign execution.
- Support ad hoc internal projects as needed.
- Share expertise on media technologies, buying platforms, analytics tools, and business processes with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 7 years of experience in digital advertising media, performance marketing, media analytics, or programmatic buying.
- Proficient with digital advertising platforms including Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, DSPs such as Google DV360 and Trade Desk, Innovid, and LiveRamp.
- Deep knowledge of the digital ad ecosystem encompassing audience targeting, attribution methods, measurement, and optimization techniques.
- Expertise in analyzing complex data to derive actionable business insights.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting data and strategies to varied audiences.
- Organized, accountable, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with digital campaign implementation, tracking, tagging, and ad-serving processes.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Experience with Airtable.
- Background supporting performance marketing for entertainment, media, direct-to-consumer, or consumer brands.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into data needs.
- Experience collaborating with media agencies and activation partners.
- Exposure to marketing experimentation, incrementality testing, or advanced measurement techniques.
- A passion for entertainment and The Walt Disney Company.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Analytics, Business, Communications, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Information
- The position requires working from the Burbank office Monday through Thursday (four days weekly) with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
- The compensation range in California is between $129,300 and $173,300 annually, with potential bonuses or long-term incentives. Salary considerations include geographical location, experience, and knowledge. Comprehensive benefits are also included.
