Role Overview

We are looking for a People Business Partner based in North Macedonia (Skopje, Ohrid, or Debar), who will closely collaborate with leaders and employees locally, and partner with teams across the US and Balkan regions. This in-person role operates primarily from 12pm to 8pm to facilitate seamless cross-time zone coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leaders from functions like Phone Operations, Account Management, Inside Sales, and Customer Support to enhance organizational performance and team wellbeing.
  • Guide management through aspects such as performance reviews, employee relations, feedback discussions, and complex personnel choices.
  • Contribute to organizational design, workforce and succession planning, and manage change initiatives.
  • Transform business objectives into actionable people strategies, working cross-functionally to implement effective programs.
  • Ensure all people practices comply with North Macedonian labor laws and employment standards.
  • Leverage people analytics and employee feedback to identify trends and represent Balkan region perspectives in global People conversations.

Who You Will Work With

You will join a mission-driven and high-performing People team reporting to the Director, People Partners, while collaborating with colleagues in North Macedonia, Kosovo, the UK, and the US.

Candidate Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a People Business Partner within fast-paced or scaling organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of North Macedonia labor legislation and local employment protocols.
  • History supporting leadership teams in Operations, Go-To-Market, Customer Support, or related fields.
  • Core expertise in performance management, employee relations, talent development, leadership coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Proven experience managing growth, change, and organizational transformations.
  • Strong abilities in organizational design including workforce and succession planning.
  • Excellent project management skills enabling smooth execution of initiatives.
  • Led central People processes such as performance evaluations, compensation reviews, promotions, and talent assessments.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to inspire trust at all organizational levels.
  • Data-driven decision-making aptitude for solving complex issues.
  • Previous exposure to customer support or high-volume operations supporting sizeable teams.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-evolving, ambiguous work environments.
