Role Summary

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to oversee comprehensive payroll management for operations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This role will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. It requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, employees, the U.S. Payroll team, and third-party payroll providers. Additionally, the role supports transitioning to a new integrated payroll platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete monthly payroll cycles, including routine and off-cycle runs.
• Gather, verify, and consolidate payroll data inputs such as hires, terminations, attendance, salary revisions, allowances, deductions, and personnel updates.
• Create payroll input files and conduct calculations, reconciliations, and validation primarily using Excel processes.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers to meet payroll timelines and processing schedules.
• Review payroll results, investigate issues, and ensure resolution before finalizing payroll outputs.
• Serve as the main liaison between HR, Finance, employees, U.S. Payroll, and third-party vendors.
• Administer payroll-related benefits such as travel, education allowances, and other employee payments per company policies.
• Process ad hoc payments including adjustments, bonuses, commissions, urgent payouts, and end-of-service settlements.
• Prepare payroll accounting journals, WPS payment files, reconciliations, and generate reports for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain payroll documentation, support audits, and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to the rollout and support of a new payroll system across the Middle East by gathering requirements, testing, data validation, troubleshooting, and stabilizing post-launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• Between one and two years of direct payroll processing experience, focusing on Saudi Arabia and/or UAE payroll, with multi-country GCC payroll knowledge preferred.
• Proven expertise managing complete payroll cycles, off-cycle runs, End-of-Service settlements, and WPS submissions.
• Experience coordinating with third-party payroll providers in an outsourced model.
• Familiarity with payroll system implementations or migrations is an asset.
