Position Overview
The Clinical Research Patient Recruiter plays a crucial role in identifying and enlisting candidates for clinical studies by conducting pre-screenings, patient outreach, and aligning potential subjects with study protocols.
Primary Duties
- Thoroughly reviews Rovia’s study protocols, including eligibility criteria like diagnoses, medical terms, and medication history.
- Performs pre-screening on patient records to ensure appropriate study placement.
- Matches potential participants to current or upcoming trials according to study needs.
- Makes outbound recruitment calls, answers incoming patient inquiries, and schedules research appointments.
- Delivers outstanding customer service to prospective subjects.
- Records and updates patient status and outcomes in the Clinical Conductor database, including follow-up information.
- Updates medical histories and medication details within the database via chart reviews and phone conversations.
- Monitors and documents trends in patient participation or refusal in clinical trials.
- Manages the creation and scheduling of IRB-approved social media posts and email campaigns related to ongoing studies.
- Designs recruitment collateral such as flyers and brochures.
- Completes other relevant responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Competence with Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluent in English, with Spanish language skills desirable.
- Familiarity with graphic design platforms like Canva.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Establishes rapport with patients via telephone.
- Experienced in using social media platforms for recruitment, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: high school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in clinical research patient recruitment is mandatory.
