Job Location and Reporting
This role is based at London City Airport, working under the supervision of the Duty Manager.
Working Hours and Compensation
Work involves a combination of early and late shifts totaling approximately 87 hours monthly. The hourly wage offered is £14.12.
Key Responsibilities
- Process passengers and their luggage correctly according to flight protocols.
- Verify passenger documentation for immigration and security compliance.
- Provide assistance to passengers affected by flight disruptions, following Duty Manager instructions and airline disruption procedures.
- Support passengers requiring special help due to age or physical conditions.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies of Sky Handling Partner (SHP).
- Follow company internal procedures as updated by management.
- Comply with updated external regulations provided by Airlines and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Duty Manager.
- Oversee and conduct passenger boarding operations safely between the aircraft and terminal.
- Monitor the boarding process accurately to confirm passenger counts, ensuring security and safety standards.
- Interact positively and courteously with passengers at all times.
- Maintain the company's grooming standards consistently.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned occasionally.
Additional Information
Agents must be fully flexible and ready to work shifts scheduled according to operational demands, including in cases of disruption.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work on rostered shifts with flexibility for unforeseen changes.
- Discipline to follow instructions from Duty or Station Managers.
- Excellent punctuality and time management record.
