About the Role

Beechfield Care Group is seeking a part time HR Administrator to handle administrative duties and support the management team at Beechwood Nursing Home, located in Leighlinbridge, County Carlow. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of Nursing and head office support teams. The position offers approximately 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling options.

Beechfield Care Group is a well-established nursing home provider with locations in Dublin, Carlow, Meath, Westmeath, and Kildare. Its core mission focuses on delivering the highest standards of care to residents, emphasizing compassionate and resident-centered service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison and correspondence point with HSE offices and residents' families as necessary.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Nursing and other members of the management team.
  • Maintain and update occupancy statistics and scheduling documentation.
  • Manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining the employee database and preparing new employee files.
  • Issue offer letters and employment contracts, ensuring complete and legally compliant employee documentation files.
  • Oversee Garda Vetting compliance for all staff, ensuring timely renewals and database accuracy.
  • Provide weekly updates on HR activities to the Group Head of HR.

Required Experience and Skills

  • At least two years of experience in a similar HR administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong numerical aptitude.
  • Effective organizational and time management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in working practices.
