About the Role

A prominent organisation in the energy sector is looking to appoint a seasoned Paralegal to join their Brisbane-based legal division for a long-term contract set to continue through the end of 2026. This role provides significant exposure to key commercial and regulatory projects, supporting senior legal staff in managing contracts, ensuring compliance, liaising with stakeholders, and overseeing operational governance. Ideal candidates will be meticulous legal professionals who excel in dynamic, business-focused environments and enjoy engaging with intricate issues within a heavily regulated and evolving industry.

Responsibilities

• Review entry-level agreements and oversee contract renewals and extensions.
• Prepare draft documents and annotated materials for legal team assessment.
• Analyze requirements, draft necessary updates, and manage internal communications related to legal processes.
• Organize and maintain calendars and support daily operational workflow.
• Coordinate professional growth sessions and arrange meetings with external legal consultants.
• Keep thorough and precise records, track legal documentation, and assist with legal operational activities.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to work on-site consistently at the Brisbane office.
• Availability approximately three days per week throughout the contract term.
• Immediate availability to commence work and quickly integrate into ongoing projects.
• Relevant legal education and practical experience in contract management, legal redlining, compliance, or paralegal functions.
