Officer / Senior Officer - Analytical Research and Development

Role overview

This position is for an analyst within the analytical development laboratory, supporting formulation development work for oral solid and liquid dosage forms. The role is based in Thane and sits within the Analytical Department.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and stability testing for dissolution, assay, and related substances for assigned products.
• Assist with developing analytical methods for dissolution, assay, and related substances in line with regulatory expectations.
• Review observations during testing and help determine the root cause of failures or out-of-trend results.
• Maintain online logbooks, data records, and laboratory notebook entries while following GMP and GLP practices.
• Read technical literature, research papers, and updated guidelines, and contribute to internal scientific discussions.
• Perform instrument calibration according to the approved schedule.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and issue resolution during analytical work.
• Execute development and stability studies as per the assigned plan.

Qualifications and experience

The role calls for 2 to 4 years of experience in analytical development, with hands-on exposure to solid oral and liquid oral dosage forms. A postgraduate qualification such as M.Pharm or M.Sc. is required. Practical familiarity with HPLC, Karl Fischer titrator, and dissolution tester is expected.

Working conditions

The selected candidate should be comfortable working across all shifts and may need to visit external sites depending on project requirements.
