Role Overview
EDGE is seeking a Planning Officer to support the Technical Planning function from Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on building and maintaining effective maintenance plans, improving documentation quality, and ensuring maintenance activities are executed in line with OEM and client expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Create, update, and enhance maintenance programs, service schedules, inspection checklists, and technical documents to match OEM and client standards.
- Plan, track, and review preventive maintenance work and Annual Service Plans (ASP).
- Keep an eye on maintenance compliance, fleet uptime, equipment availability, and overall maintenance results.
- Study maintenance information, defect logs, and operational patterns to spot recurring issues and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
- Carry out root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that make maintenance processes more efficient.
- Work closely with vendors, service providers, operational teams, and clients to ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time.
- Update CMMS data, technical records, and maintenance files with accuracy.
- Review existing maintenance plans, technical records, and system documentation and make necessary corrections to keep them accurate and compliant.
- Draft technical reports and present maintenance observations and recommendations to engineering stakeholders.
- Assist the Technical Planning Department while following safety, environmental, and company requirements.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Maintenance Engineering is preferred.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, fleet maintenance, or MRO.
- Hands-on familiarity with CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical ability, planning skills, and written/verbal communication.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
- Must hold a valid driving license.
- Good command of English is required; Arabic and prior automotive experience will be considered an advantage.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
