Role overview
The Officer for Learning & Development plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering employee training and development activities across the organization. This position helps ensure learning initiatives are executed effectively, training needs are identified accurately, and employee capabilities grow in line with business priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Implement learning and development plans and training programs that reflect departmental and organizational requirements.
- Organize training calendars, logistics, and communications with both internal teams and external training partners.
- Help carry out training needs analysis and keep individual development plans up to date.
- Support workshops, training sessions, and learning initiatives so they run smoothly and keep participants engaged.
- Maintain accurate training documentation, attendance logs, and learning records in HR systems.
- Make sure employees are notified about suitable training opportunities and enrolled accordingly.
- Contribute to training evaluation using surveys, feedback, and basic performance metrics.
- Monitor learning participation and completion data and prepare periodic progress reports.
- Coordinate learning activities related to onboarding and assist with employee integration efforts.
- Help improve learning and development processes, tools, and content over time.
- Follow internal procedures, policies, and training governance requirements.
Experience and education
This position calls for at least 4 years of experience in learning and development, training coordination, or HR operations. Prior exposure to learning management systems, training administration, and employee development work is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline is required. Professional credentials such as CIPD, ATD, or other learning and development certifications are considered beneficial.
