Role Overview
The Night Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring security, maintaining cleanliness, supporting guest services, and preparing the hotel for the following day during overnight hours approximately 7pm to 11am. This role demands a customer service-oriented individual with hospitality experience, reliability, and enthusiasm for learning within a developing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain building and guest security through statutory fire and security checks.
- Prepare the restaurant for breakfast service and serve drinks at the bar.
- Clean public and outside areas to keep the hotel tidy and presentable.
- Handle telephone inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Provide room service by preparing and serving food according to company standards.
- Complete efficient daily handover procedures.
- Ensure all corridors are clear, and verify fire extinguishers and doors are secured while conducting safety checks throughout the night.
Requirements
- Minimum one year experience in customer service or a similar hospitality position.
- Strong customer focus and passion for delivering excellent service.
- Reliability and willingness to learn within a growing team.
- Ability to work overnight hours, approximately from 7pm to 11am.
