Position Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer to lead the design, maintenance, and advancement of the campus's technology infrastructure. This role involves managing wired and wireless network systems, security infrastructures, remote access systems, and ensuring uptime through strategic policies and after-hours support plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and operate campus local and wide area networks and wireless systems, optimizing performance and reliability.
- Monitor network status proactively through reporting and alerting mechanisms to ensure consistent operation.
- Collaborate with team members and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues efficiently.
- Create, implement, and audit policies and procedures to enhance network security, efficiency, and operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, including supervising scope of work agreements and contributing to budget planning for network infrastructure projects.
- Advise senior management on network improvements, staying current with emerging technologies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with substitutions allowed between education and experience.
Additional Details
- This position is exempt and salaried, scheduled for a 40-hour workweek totaling 2080 hours annually over 12 months.
- No supervisory responsibilities or college vehicle operation is involved.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $74,262 to $90,972.
