Role Overview

This full-time, onsite position based in Guwahati requires an NDT Technician skilled in performing non-destructive testing on materials, components, and structures. The technician will be responsible for setting up test environments, executing inspections using approved techniques and instruments, documenting and analyzing results, and providing detailed reports that align with quality and safety protocols.

Cooperation with project engineering and quality control teams is essential to identify defects, evaluate corrosion, and support decisions related to maintenance and construction. The technician must ensure proper upkeep of testing equipment, strict adherence to safety guidelines, and compliance with all relevant standards and client specifications.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in Eddy Current testing for identifying surface and near-surface defects in metal parts.
• Expertise in Ultrasonics to conduct volumetric inspections, measure thickness, and detect faults in welded and structural components.
• Competence in Inspection and Quality Control to assess material integrity, validate testing outcomes, and ensure conformity with project requirements and industry norms.
• Ability to evaluate corrosion and material degradation to assist in maintenance scheduling and asset integrity management.
• Possession of relevant NDT Level II or equivalent certification (such as ASNT, ISO, or national board certifications) is preferred.
• Experience working on infrastructure, construction, or industrial assignments with a strong emphasis on safety and proper documentation is advantageous.
• Capability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and standards, and to compile clear and comprehensive inspection reports.
• Effective communication skills, teamwork orientation, and readiness to operate onsite under variable field conditions.
