Role Overview
This full-time role is based in Vijayawada East and involves the maintenance of moulds used in production processes. Responsibilities include routine inspection, cleaning, servicing, diagnosing equipment issues, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, and performing repairs to reduce operational downtime. Collaboration with production and quality assurance teams is essential, alongside maintaining accurate maintenance records and complying with safety regulations. The position also encourages participation in continuous improvement initiatives around maintenance processes and managing tools, spare parts, and materials efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, and service production moulds regularly to ensure smooth operation.
- Identify mechanical problems in moulds and related equipment; execute timely repairs and replacements.
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance activities to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance work and equipment status.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to support seamless manufacturing operations.
- Follow established safety and compliance protocols at all times.
- Contribute ideas to improve maintenance procedures and plant efficiency.
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials needed for maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair techniques focused on moulds and associated machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical or process issues.
- Experience or familiarity with polymer manufacturing, plastics processing, or industrial textiles production preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- High attention to detail and commitment to upholding plant safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial environment.
- Diploma, ITI, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Tool & Die making, or related technical discipline is advantageous.
