Mobile Cleaner

About The Role

This position involves working on a mobile, multi-location basis, primarily supporting cleaning operations at various school sites. Typical duty hours are split shifts, usually from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, but schedules may vary depending on site needs.

As a Mobile Cleaner, your mission is to uphold cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere for clients, colleagues, and visitors across multiple OCS locations. Your work will meet high cleaning and hygiene standards in accordance with agreed service specifications, health and safety directives, and company values.

Key Responsibilities

• Move between multiple client sites within a designated area to provide cleaning services as scheduled.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks adhere to agreed standards and timelines.
• Safely handle and transport cleaning equipment and supplies between sites.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, cover for absent staff, and respond flexibly to urgent cleaning needs.
• Keep accurate records of work completed and promptly report any concerns or issues with client sites.
• Adapt cleaning approaches to unique premises layouts and client requirements.
• Conduct basic equipment inspections and notify management of any malfunctions or material shortages.
• Exemplify professionalism while working independently across various client locations.
• Strictly follow all lone working, health and safety, and company policies throughout the workday.

Candidate Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to pass a DBS background check.
• Possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle if needed.
• Willingness and ability to travel among different sites and work varied shift patterns.
• Previous experience in commercial or public sector cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Awareness of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards.
• Dependability, punctuality, and adaptability in your work ethic.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and procedures thoroughly.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in Facilities Management or contracted cleaning services.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations or safe handling of cleaning chemicals (training will be provided if necessary).
