Role Overview
The Migration Case Officer position, based onsite in Kochi, involves managing migration applications from the initial client consultation until the final decision is obtained. Key duties include assessing client eligibility, collecting and verifying necessary documents, assembling application materials, and keeping thorough case documentation. The role demands clear, supportive communication with clients regarding requirements, timelines, and updates related to legal and process changes.
Regular collaboration with internal teams, adherence to up-to-date migration laws and policies, and dedicated handling of each case with confidentiality and precision are essential. The officer must demonstrate proactive resolution of issues and a meticulous approach to secure favorable outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging diverse clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in managing cases including document organization, monitoring application status, and maintaining records.
- Strong analytical aptitude to interpret regulatory frameworks, evaluate eligibility, and identify potential risks or discrepancies within applications.
- Foundational knowledge of migration laws, policies, and procedures.
- A bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Social Work, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior work experience in immigration services, education consulting, or legal administrative roles is advantageous.
- Ability to work onsite in Kochi, handle multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain strict confidentiality standards.
- Competency in office software, case management systems, online research, along with effective time and organizational management skills.
