We are excited to offer a Microbiology Laboratory Technician position based in Clonmel, Ireland. Job Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, maintaining high-quality standards and promptly reporting any questionable results.
- Consistently follow quality assurance protocols such as equipment calibration, internal quality controls, and daily verification checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within assigned lab areas.
- Comply fully with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies to ensure safe operations.
- Guarantee confidentiality regarding customer information.
- Perform additional duties as required by the team.
Compensation and Work Hours
The starting salary is €31,000, with the potential for an increase within six months based on performance. Additional shift allowances are available for those working in shifts. The role involves 12-hour shifts at the Carrigeen Business Park facility in Clonmel.
Qualifications and Skills
- A third-level qualification in Science or a related field is required.
- Laboratory testing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Interest in food science and food safety.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
