Job Overview
As a Merchandiser based in Thunder Bay, you will be key in ensuring Coke Canada Bottling’s beverages are well-stocked and attractively presented in local retail locations. This role goes beyond simply restocking shelves – it involves creating excellent store displays and acting as an ambassador for the company's products while upholding high service standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Replenish store shelves, racks, displays, and coolers by moving product from backrooms to front-of-store areas using manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Set up, modify, or dismantle product displays according to company guidelines; maintain signage and product presentation; ensure cleanliness and remove damaged or defective items.
- Adhere to all company and store policies related to storage, display, replenishment, equipment use, and health and safety.
- Organize and manage stock inventory in backrooms, handle damaged products appropriately, complete required paperwork, and keep storage areas tidy.
- Maintain workplace safety and sanitation standards, keeping the work environment clean and orderly.
- Build and sustain professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting products weighing up to 50 lbs, working at varying heights, and using manual equipment for extended distances.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Possess a valid class 5 driver's license and maintain a clean driving record without major violations over the last three years.
- Have access to a personal vehicle during work hours and hold valid vehicle liability insurance.
- Preferably one year of experience in grocery, retail, warehousing, or a related environment.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision is advantageous.
- Prior use of manual or powered pallet jacks is preferred.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Position based in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
- Full-time, 40-hour workweek from Monday to Sunday.
- Hourly wage set at $20.
