Member of Technical Staff II - Frontend Engineer

About the Role

Join Adobe as a Member of Technical Staff II where innovation meets teamwork. You'll collaborate with top engineers globally to build impactful solutions used by millions daily. As part of the Commerce Experiences team, you will enhance commerce user journeys in Adobe products, focusing on acquisition and retention through experimentation and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend components and features within defined design and engineering frameworks that improve Adobe's commerce user experiences.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and product managers to translate requirements into maintainable and testable UI code.
• Take increasing ownership of UI rendering and experience delivery workflows as you gain expertise in the codebase.
• Write unit and component-level tests, participate in code reviews, and apply feedback to enhance code quality.
• Debug and fix issues related to your code and the immediate components you work on.
• Effectively communicate status, ask insightful questions, and pursue continuous learning within the team environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience developing frontend web applications emphasizing responsive design and modular, clean code.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript and at least one major framework, preferably React; knowledge of TypeScript or ES6+ is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of web standards and browser fundamentals including DOM and CSS (SCSS included), and skills in debugging modern browsers.
• Experience with unit and component testing; exposure to integration or end-to-end testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git version control and basic continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Awareness of secure coding standards and frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot, within established coding guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with state management libraries or patterns such as Redux or MobX.
• Basic understanding of content delivery networks (CDNs), Service Workers, or progressive rendering approaches.
