We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Burnfoot facility in County Donegal. This position suits individuals who thrive in a dynamic, hands-on production environment and are committed to safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. The selected candidate will ensure materials are efficiently managed, stored, and supplied to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track live production schedules using the IFS system to coordinate and deliver materials from stores to production teams.
  • Identify and report any material damages or shortages, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials, ensuring accurate project allocation when items leave an area.
  • Follow up on outstanding material requirements and keep the Team Leader informed.
  • Keep the work environment tidy, safe, and well-ordered.
  • Facilitate timely materials distribution between stores, production, fabrication, and assembly departments.
  • Provide support and mentoring to junior colleagues, recognize training needs, and escalate when necessary.
  • Adhere to and promote Vertiv Operating System (VOS) principles and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all safety, security, and regulatory standards, including Health & Safety, risk assessments, and COSHH requirements.

Inventory and Stock Control Duties

  • Conduct physical stock counts in assigned areas to verify accuracy against system records.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and ERP data.
  • Update warehouse management systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support stock replenishment by organizing and relocating materials to ensure availability for production.
  • Utilize barcode scanners, ERP, and warehouse management tools to efficiently track material movements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data recording and stock counting skills.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics and computer skills for data entry and inventory reconciliation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Familiarity with workshop equipment, processes, and protocols.
  • Clean disciplinary record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of molding systems and production workflows.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or similar machinery.

Physical Demands

The position requires regular walking, standing, and lifting within a busy warehouse setting. Experience with forklifts or warehouse machinery is beneficial for managing inventory movement.

  • 25 days of annual leave per year.
  • Employer pension plan and life insurance coverage.
  • Access to the company's social club and community activities.

Why Choose This Role?

  • Engage in a practical role within a structured industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Work on technically challenging and diverse projects.
