About Óir Group

Óir Group is an independent hospitality company based in Edinburgh, operating four unique venues: Uncle Tiger (Asian street food), Lucky Yu (neighborhood Asian restaurant), Bodega (tacos & margaritas), and The Captain Darling (modern neighborhood pub). Each venue has its distinct personality, menu, target audience, and voice. The company is dynamic and fast-paced, committed to building venues with authentic character and high standards.

Role Overview

This role involves hands-on marketing and content creation across all four venues. The Marketing & Content Executive will be responsible for creating diverse content, managing social media channels, coordinating email campaigns, and supporting the delivery of promotional events and campaigns. The role requires close collaboration with the Founder, Creative Director, Operations Manager, and venue teams to translate ideas into engaging campaigns and memorable guest experiences. This position is action-oriented rather than managerial, with tasks ranging from filming venue-specific content to organizing promotional materials and scheduling campaigns. A key aspect is understanding and adapting to the unique voice and character of each venue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily social media activities on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for all venues.
  • Create, plan, and schedule compelling content tailored to each brand's personality.
  • Write engaging captions and marketing copy that reflect the distinctive tone of each venue.
  • Film and edit short-form video content on-site.
  • Develop and sustain a reusable content library.
  • Engage with online communities via comments, messages, tags, and reviews.
  • Monitor content performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Plan, write, and execute email marketing campaigns using CRM tools.
  • Assist in expanding and segmenting customer databases.
  • Collaborate on seasonal campaigns, promotions, product launches, and events.
  • Coordinate production and distribution of marketing materials, including print collateral and point-of-sale items.
  • Liaise with printers, suppliers, and venue teams to ensure timely campaign delivery.
  • Manage merchandise and branded collateral.
  • Maintain Google Business Profiles and third-party listings up to date.
  • Keep a clear marketing calendar to ensure consistent communication.
  • Handle urgent marketing requests quickly and effectively.
  • Contribute to details that enhance guest experiences and reflect each venue's unique ambiance.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Between 1 to 3 years of practical marketing or content experience, preferably within hospitality, retail, food & beverage, or consumer-focused sectors.
  • Exceptional writing ability with a strong sense of brand voice and character.
  • Skillful at adapting tone to suit four distinct brands authentically.
  • Proficient in creating and editing short-form social media videos.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design tools.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms or CRM software.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing several priorities simultaneously.
  • Located in or near Edinburgh and willing to work on-site across venues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality marketing.
  • Skills in photography and videography.
  • Experience managing print production.
  • Knowledge of paid social media advertising.
  • Familiarity with Stampede CRM or similar (training provided).
  • Interest in food, drink, and hospitality industries.

Ideal Traits

  • A proactive individual who enjoys making things happen.
  • Comfortable shifting between different creative voices and brand personalities.
  • Attentive to detail and quality in all tasks.
  • Versatile in managing diverse marketing activities from print to video content.
  • Believes that exceptional hospitality begins well before guests arrive.

Compensation and Working Conditions

  • Salary range of £24,000 to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Part-time schedule of approximately 2 to 3 days per week.
  • Work location primarily on-site in Edinburgh with some flexibility.
  • Employee benefits include staff discounts, meals, and other perks to be confirmed.

Application Process

Applicants should submit their CV, a brief note explaining why they are a strong fit for the role, and samples of work such as social media content or campaigns that demonstrate their ability to craft engaging, brand-specific content.
