Manager/Senior Manager - Strategy & Transactions in Financial Services Sector

About the Role

Join EY's leading Valuation, Modelling, and Economics division focused on the Financial Services Sector, including Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, and Wealth & Asset Management. As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will advise clients on both transactional and strategic decisions by applying deep industry knowledge and advanced valuation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategic and transactional decisions including market expansion, operational optimization, and financial reporting.
• Co-develop valuation approaches with clients and deliver insightful analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Support clients in defining strategic priorities and executing transaction-related work.
• Prepare and review comprehensive deliverables such as financial models, reports, data books, and presentations.
• Identify opportunities for additional service offerings leveraging the firm's capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business.
• 7 to 12 years of experience in business valuation with strong expertise in valuation methodologies, market assessments, feasibility studies, financial analysis, capital allocation, and portfolio optimization.
• Proficiency in creating complex financial models from the ground up.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial institutions' balance sheet structures and operating models.
• Good knowledge of IFRS standards concerning fair value measurement, business combinations, and impairment testing.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience in a professional services or Big 4 firm valuation role.
• Progress towards or completion of CFA designation.
• Strong business development capabilities.
• Problem solver with the ability to tackle complex challenges and think beyond conventional limits.
• Highly motivated, attentive to detail, analytical, and a proactive team player adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines.
