Role Overview

The Manager - Performance Analyst will be primarily responsible for supervising the daily operational activities of solar energy systems to ensure optimal functionality and maximum power generation. This role involves direct management of operational workflows, performance monitoring, maintenance oversight, and safety compliance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily operations of solar energy plants to achieve targeted energy output efficiently.
• Track key performance indicators such as Performance Ratio (PR), Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF), Plant Availability (PA), and Grid Availability (GA), applying corrective measures when needed.
• Analyze operational data to detect trends and devise strategies for enhancing system efficiency.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, facilitating safety training sessions and audits to uphold a zero-accident environment.
• Ensure timely submission of compliance documentation, including Joint Meter Readings and relevant reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational procedures for increased productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead implementation of process improvements based on performance analytics and industry best practices.
• Efficiently allocate human and material resources to meet operational targets.
• Supervise and coordinate teams comprising engineers and technicians, ensuring timely and quality completion of tasks.
• Conduct periodic performance appraisals and facilitate skill development for team members.
• Produce comprehensive reports on system performance and operational challenges, providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Maintain accurate operational records, documenting performance metrics, downtimes, and maintenance activities.
• Support integration of technological tools like SCADA systems to enhance monitoring and proactive issue resolution.
• Recommend and oversee adoption of innovative technologies and best practices to boost operations.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Maintenance, Engineering, Safety) and external stakeholders (vendors, regulatory bodies, clients) to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings aligning operational goals with corporate objectives.

Technical Competencies

• AC and DC operations management for solar energy systems
• Budget and resource management within energy operations
• Expertise in Control System Architecture including SCADA and PPC
• Documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking
• Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices within the sector
• Inverter operations and plant performance monitoring
• Risk management and mitigation strategies
• SAP administration relevant to plant operations
• Sub-station and switchyard management, including transformers and grid interfaces

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related Energy sector field. A minimum of 6-8 years' experience in the energy sector is required. Diploma holders should have an additional 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
