Manager, Inventory & Logistics

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and goal-oriented Inventory and Logistics Manager to supervise materials management, shipping and receiving operations, and inventory control within our manufacturing setting. This role involves leading a team dedicated to maintaining precise inventory records, streamlining material flow, and ensuring timely delivery to support both production schedules and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the inventory control, shipping/receiving, and stockroom teams to achieve departmental goals.
• Set performance benchmarks and promote ongoing enhancements in logistics processes and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain overall responsibility for inventory accuracy by managing cycle counts, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective measures.
• Ensure materials are tracked and handled in line with company quality standards.
• Optimize stock levels to balance production needs without overstocking or shortages.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, and freight operations, ensuring adherence to compliance and service standards.
• Manage relationships with carriers and freight service providers.
• Enhance warehouse layout and material movement for improved efficiency and safety.
• Ensure ERP system data is accurate through real-time transaction management.
• Develop and deliver reports regarding inventory status, material discrepancies, cycle count adherence, and logistics performance.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Planning, and Procurement teams to guarantee material availability in line with production demands.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in inventory and logistics management with previous supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and inventory management best practices.
• Strong analytical capabilities and a track record of driving improvements in processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within regulated or quality-centric manufacturing environments.
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma or APICS (CPIM/CSCP).
• Experience in continuous improvement and change management initiatives.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to walk, stand, and move effectively within large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety protocols may be required.
• May need to climb ladders, bend, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance, or emergency situations.
• Exposure to environmental factors such as noise, dust, temperature changes, and industrial machinery.
• Occasional work during evenings or weekends might be necessary for urgent facility needs or projects.
• Frequent use of computer and office equipment for documentation and communication tasks.

Compensation

The remuneration package includes a base salary, a substantial annual equity component, and potential bonuses.
