Role Overview: Audit & Assurance Manager
In this managerial position within Audit & Assurance, you will build credibility by balancing diverse stakeholder expectations and addressing audit challenges constructively. You will lead and oversee audit activities, applying professional skepticism and ensuring timely and thorough audit execution and documentation.
Key Duties
- Evaluate transaction flows and test controls early to assess audit approaches and the client's control environment promptly.
- Identify ineffective controls and recommend compensating procedures independently while considering wider audit implications, including fraud risks and governance communication.
- Leverage firm-wide expertise and collaborate with specialists to provide exceptional value throughout audits.
- Participate actively in risk assessment and coordinate with component auditors, preparing clear referral instructions and reviewing responses effectively.
- Maintain rigorous file checks and manage appropriate file structures, including for group engagements.
- Coordinate scheduling and communicate expectations clearly to engagement team members and client management to ensure alignment and meet deadlines.
- Review audit results critically to confirm the reliability of management's assertions and compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
- Ensure all audit work complies with applicable laws, ethical standards, independence requirements, and quality control procedures.

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six years’ experience in public accounting or audit management, preferably within major audit firms.
- A degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of international financial reporting standards and best practices in reporting.
- Proven ability to apply accounting and auditing standards consistently and to verify financial statements with appropriate evidential support.
- Capability to develop expertise in Deloitte’s audit methodologies and relevant professional standards through ongoing training.
- Strong documentation review skills ensuring accuracy and completeness of audit work papers.
- International accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required; preference given to bilingual candidates proficient also in Arabic.
