Role purpose

This position supports the Director of Engineering and the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the hotel’s buildings, plant, equipment, fixtures, and assets in safe, efficient, and guest-ready condition. A key part of the role is ensuring refrigeration and air-conditioning systems are maintained safely and in line with the applicable regulations.

Core duties

  • Check, diagnose, repair, and service building services such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform daily plant checks and flag any faults or unusual issues quickly so repairs can be arranged without unnecessary delay.
  • Handle preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical equipment and water reticulation systems to support reliability and operating efficiency.
  • Complete planned maintenance work as scheduled in the hotel’s Property Maintenance System (PMS).
  • Keep clear, accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Help safeguard hotel assets and ensure the property remains safe, functional, and visually well maintained.
