Role Purpose
The Maintenance Technician will carry out routine maintenance activities within a semiconductor cleanroom setting. The role involves assisting customers by diagnosing issues and troubleshooting throughout the manufacturing process while strictly adhering to safety and quality protocols. Success in this role supports the facility’s productivity and enhances the technician’s technical expertise in a specialized field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective repairs on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Work on electrical and mechanical components and sub-systems.
- Accurately document root cause analyses, problem resolution, data logs, and corrective actions related to equipment failures.
- Follow detailed procedural instructions and report on equipment failure mechanisms.
- Maintain adherence to cleanroom standards and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Perform quality checks according to process specifications.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and internal computer systems as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Minimum two years of maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Technical qualification at NFQ Level 6 or equivalent industrial experience.
- Skilled in using various hand and power tools, as well as electrical meters.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Capability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment, following gowning and PPE protocols.
- Ability to strictly comply with all safety and procedural measures.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexible and able to prioritize diverse tasks efficiently.
- Physically capable of standing, stooping, walking, and reaching for 12-hour shifts.
Work Schedule
The position operates on a compressed workweek schedule within a four-shift cycle, involving 12-hour shifts that include day, night, and weekend work.
