Machine Learning Engineer

Position Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Kybernous in Accra, Ghana, you will be responsible for crafting adaptive learning systems that drive an engine's behavior within strict risk parameters, particularly focusing on agents that enhance market-making activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create learning frameworks enabling engines to self-modify behavior while adhering to rigorous risk constraints.
• Develop environments for training, evaluating, and simulating market-making agents to ensure performance and reliability.
• Balance and integrate learned policies with explicit control mechanisms, discerning the appropriate approach per situation.
• Implement instrumentation for agents to guarantee decision-making is transparent, accountable, and secure for deployment.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated practical experience applying reinforcement learning or machine learning techniques to sequential decision-making problems, preferably in financial markets or control systems.
• A strong understanding of the differences between simulated models and live operational behavior, and the implications thereof.
• Commitment to software engineering discipline, ensuring models are delivered with comprehensive testing and monitoring rather than just theoretical results.
• Sound judgment to determine when autonomous operations add value and when constraints must be imposed.
