Loss Prevention Expert, Security & Loss Prevention

Position Overview

Amazon's high-performance operations network delivers millions of parcels daily with speed, precision, and excellent customer service. To maintain the safety and continuous function of these operations, we seek attentive, proactive professionals for the role of Loss Prevention Expert. This critical position involves providing security services across operational sites throughout our entire supply chain to safeguard employees and minimize losses.

Primary Duties

• Assist in enhancing business continuity by participating in emergency and crisis preparedness planning for designated sites.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities such as losses, employee experience, or process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Act as the liaison for risk management efforts with local management and external parties including law enforcement and industry groups.
• Ensure that all assigned facilities comply with Amazon's global security standards.
• Lead security and loss prevention projects at local, regional, and national levels.

Typical Daily Activities

As a team member in Security and Loss Prevention, you will provide security services to diverse business units within an assigned region. Routine tasks include conducting physical security audits, investigating breaches or losses, collecting and analyzing data from monitoring systems, and interviewing involved personnel. This role involves maintaining physical site integrity by monitoring security system health and collaborating with specialists and vendors to ensure optimal functionality.

Additional responsibilities include recommending improvements to security infrastructure, assisting in budgeting for security service providers, coordinating with external security contractors for quality service delivery, and developing awareness and training programs across various management levels. You will also oversee executing the comprehensive Security and Loss Prevention strategy.

Operating under the Global Security Operations division, the Security and Loss Prevention team helps Amazon achieve business goals while protecting our brand by managing threats and security risks that might endanger associates or customers, disrupt operations, damage assets, or harm reputation.

Our team partners closely with stakeholders to secure the entire supply chain by preempting risk factors, responding promptly to incidents to lessen impacts, and investigating issues thoroughly to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Preferred ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
