Licensed Aircraft Engineer II - Qatar Executive

Overview

This role involves providing comprehensive support to Lead Engineers and management for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in strict accordance with approved guidelines to ensure maximum aircraft availability and adherence to the highest operational standards. The primary focus is on guaranteeing timely, quality maintenance to uphold flight safety and aircraft reliability under Qatar Civil Aviation Authority regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks essential for the smooth operation of Qatar Executive's commercial aircraft fleet.
• Lead, motivate, and manage team members to accomplish maintenance tasks efficiently; determine necessary materials, tools, and support resources.
• Oversee inspections, prioritize defect rectifications, and allocate personnel with appropriate skill sets effectively.
• Proactively resolve defects while strictly complying with safety, regulatory, and corporate standards.
• Alert management about any potential issues impacting aircraft or cabin system serviceability.
• Authoritatively release completed maintenance work, ensuring it meets Qatar Executive's standards regarding aircraft availability, system reliability, and deferred defect levels.
• Review and improve work procedures, equipment, and standards to enhance process effectiveness and resolve technical challenges within operational scope.
• Collaborate with other Qatar Executive departments to develop and prepare maintenance work packages.
• Provide expert support to QE Maintenance, CAMO, and Engineering divisions as needed.
• Be available for rapid travel to aircraft locations to perform troubleshooting and defect corrections promptly and professionally.
• Provide training and guidance to technicians and mechanics on the job.
• Work with OEMs, suppliers, and vendors to identify solutions for defects or operational issues.
• Ensure timely delivery of maintenance work to maintain aircraft reliability and cosmetics to required standards.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a degree or equivalent diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Trade, or Vocational Aircraft Maintenance.
• Holds a minimum of one full Qatar Executive main fleet, ICAO type II, EASA Part 66 B1, or QCAA license with approvals.
• Minimum five years of experience certifying aircraft maintenance work.
• Current Certifying Authorization with an EASA or TCCA Part 145 organization.
• Experience with recognized corporate jet aircraft type ratings, preferably including at least one Qatar Executive-operating aircraft on the license.
• Strong foundational knowledge of aircraft maintenance standards pertinent to the assigned role.
• Capability to make well-informed decisions under pressure.
• Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
• Competent in interpreting and implementing instructions from technical manuals and documentation.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
