Key responsibilities

  • Carry out Method 21 and/or Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) inspections on valves, pumps, flanges, connectors, and other regulated assets based on facility P&IDs.

  • Detect leaks, assess their seriousness, create repair requests, and monitor repair progress until closure, including verification after the fix.
  • Use, calibrate, service, and troubleshoot monitoring tools such as TVA/FID analyzers and infrared cameras.
  • Maintain complete and accurate field notes, images, videos, and compliance records for client and regulatory submissions.
  • Work closely with offshore operations and maintenance teams to manage site access, plan schedules, and coordinate repairs.
  • Follow offshore HSE procedures, permit-to-work controls, and PPE rules without exception.
  • Share survey results and compliance updates with the Site Supervisor or Project Lead in a prompt manner.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas, refinery, or offshore LDAR/emissions monitoring work, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • Valid offshore safety qualification such as BOSIET/OPITO or an equivalent certification, along with a current offshore medical fitness certificate.
  • Practical understanding of EPA Method 21, EN 15446, or similar leak detection and emissions standards.
  • Ability to work on offshore rotations and operate in confined spaces and at heights when needed.
  • Strong ability to document findings, record data accurately, and prepare reports.
  • Good English communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary offshore teams.
  • Preferred: a technical diploma or degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: previous experience on offshore platforms in the GCC region.
  • Preferred: familiarity with LDAR database or software platforms.
