Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Land Surveyor to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role involves executing precise surveys and setting-out activities essential to infrastructure and construction initiatives. Accuracy in establishing alignments, levels, and coordinates as per drawings and standards is paramount. This position provides a unique chance to contribute directly to significant infrastructure development alongside experienced experts in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform topographic, control, and setting-out surveys for infrastructure works including pipelines, shafts, chambers, and related civil structures.
  • Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids in collaboration with project teams, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and local coordinate systems.
  • Verify horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, and structure locations within allowable tolerances before and during construction phases.
  • Conduct as-built surveys and validate the accuracy of contractors' as-built drawings and survey data prior to submission and certification.
  • Maintain comprehensive and updated survey documentation, including field books and digital records ensuring full traceability.
  • Coordinate with contractors and supervision teams to resolve any survey discrepancies onsite and contribute to pre-construction and progress meetings with pertinent updates.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout fieldwork, especially in challenging conditions.
  • Provide technical assistance during testing, commissioning, and handover by verifying final levels and coordinates.
  • Analyze survey information and compile detailed reports featuring clear documentation and recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering and project management teams to align survey efforts with project goals and timelines.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in handling surveying instruments and data management is preferred.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of local standards and regulations (RTA, DM, DEWA).
  • Advanced skills with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and surveying software.
  • Operational experience with GPS, Total Station, and other modern surveying equipment.
  • Strong mathematical and computational proficiency with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Competence in managing digital survey files and data organization.
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting capabilities.
  • Proven background in topographic, control, and setting-out surveys, with experience verifying as-built survey accuracy.
  • Field experience in infrastructure or construction projects with multiple stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental procedures in field operations.
