About the Role
We invite you to join our cutting-edge Danone laboratory located in Mangere as a Laboratory Technician specializing in Chemistry. This exciting opportunity places you within the dynamic Quality and Food Safety team, reporting directly to the Chemistry Team Leader. Your main focus will be on helping meet the Danone Nutricia SN Quality & Food Safety goals by delivering accurate and timely results crucial for product release. Working hours are full-time, Sunday to Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with established methods and protocols according to ISO 17025:2017 standards.
- Execute designated chemical testing using approved methodologies.
- Assist in inquiries related to any laboratory non-conformance issues.
- Help validate chemical and physical testing procedures.
- Operate laboratory instruments in line with operational manuals and SOPs.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage inventory for testing materials and project-related supplies.
- Prepare required chemicals and reagents for testing processes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should possess a BSc, Diploma, or Certificate relevant to the field. This role combines hands-on physical work with equipment operations and administrative duties, requiring eagerness to acquire new skills and contribute to team success.
- At least one year of experience in an ISO 17025 chemistry lab preferred, though recent graduates with appropriate qualifications are welcome.
- Solid foundational knowledge in chemistry, biology, and physics principles.
- Familiarity with chemical testing standards related to infant formula.
- Understanding of GLP, GDP, GMP, and GHP quality frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capacity to adapt to new software; experience with information management systems is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, high accuracy, and responsiveness to urgency.
