About the Role
Kumon Lanco Hills is seeking two talented and motivated female professionals to serve as full-time Center Assistants. This role requires a unique combination of strong mathematics proficiency and excellent communication skills to assist and guide students as well as engage confidently with parents.
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate, grade, and support students through Kumon's math worksheets, covering subjects up to advanced high-school levels such as Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus.
- Serve as the primary representative of the center by welcoming parents, addressing their inquiries, and effectively communicating student progress during pick-up hours.
- Maintain smooth center operations including recording daily student attendance, organizing worksheet distribution, and tracking student progress logs.
- Collaborate with fellow assistants to manage classroom activities and workflow during busy hours.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A graduate degree with a strong emphasis on mathematics (e.g., B.Sc in Mathematics, B.Tech, or equivalent).
- Expertise in solving high-school mathematical problems including algebra, equations, and basic calculus.
- Excellent spoken English combined with conversational proficiency in either Telugu or Hindi for effective parent communication.
- Attributes of high patience, precision in grading, a supportive demeanor toward children, and strong multitasking skills.
- Preference given to candidates living near Manikonda, Puppalguda, Khajaguda, or Chitrapuri Colony to facilitate easy commuting.
Compensation and Schedule
The working hours are from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, full-time, with a monthly salary of ₹15,000.
Selection Criteria
- A written math test covering 6th-grade level operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
- A brief 5-minute English conversation test simulating explanation of a student's mistake to a parent.
- An English comprehension test at the 6th-grade level.
