Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Kernel BSP Developer with over 4 years of relevant expertise to join our Hyderabad, India team. This role involves developing and enhancing kernel and board support packages primarily on Android platforms, with a focus on MediaTek System on Chips (SoCs).

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in C programming, including comprehensive knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Engage actively in Linux Kernel development targeting Android environments.
  • Design, implement, and integrate device drivers for low-level hardware components such as cameras, audio systems, sensors, and displays.
  • Utilize kernel debugging tools effectively, including JTAG, KGDB, and ftrace, to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Possess hands-on experience with MediaTek SoCs to optimize performance and compatibility.
  • Deliver kernel performance assessments and tuning interventions to enhance system efficiency.
  • Contribute to the upstream Linux kernel community through patch submissions and participation in mailing lists.
  • Work with Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) components and support overall system integration efforts.
  • Provide expertise in factory support tools and production environment workflows.
  • Experience in automotive systems or embedded domains is advantageous.
