Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kalkulator (Cost Estimator) to join our team at Umwelttechnik & Wasserbau GmbH in Blankenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. This role involves thorough technical review of bids, determining competitive and cost-effective pricing, overseeing site inspections, and managing additional claim calculations. The ideal candidate will bring relevant technical qualifications and industry experience to ensure precision and commercial effectiveness in construction project costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed technical assessment of received tenders to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Establish market-aligned and cost-covering pricing for project bids.
- Perform site walkthroughs and integrate findings into bid documentation processes.
- Prepare calculations for contract amendments and variations.
- Monitor the construction market and competitor pricing trends.
- Execute typical industry-related tasks as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed engineering or technician training in a construction-related discipline or equivalent professional credentials.
- Relevant professional experience within the construction sector.
- Proficient understanding and confident application of the German VOB (Construction Contract Procedures).
- Independent and goal-oriented approach to work.
- Responsible economic thinking aligned with company objectives.
- Strong cooperative assertiveness combined with high motivation.
- Driver's license class B.
- Good command of the German language, proficient computer skills especially with MS Office®, and adept at using construction cost calculation software.
