Role Overview

The Junior Photo Retoucher will be an integral member of YETI’s in-house Photo Studio team, supporting the production of high-quality product and campaign images used across marketing, eCommerce, and sales materials. This role collaborates closely with content production, creative, and product teams to ensure all studio photography meets brand and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and retouch large volumes of eCommerce product images daily, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and quality benchmarks.
• Create flawless imagery for brand campaigns, digital marketing, retail, and wholesale by following established workflows and standards.
• Work under the direction of Senior or Lead Retouchers, maintaining the technical quality and consistency of visual outputs.
• Contribute feedback on quality and consistency to senior staff and partners when appropriate.
• Stay current with digital editing tools and techniques, applying new learnings to enhance workflows.
• Manage digital assets properly to track photos across channels.
• Maintain strict timeline adherence and escalate issues when standards cannot be met.
• Perform image cataloging, color correction, cropping, and spot retouching efficiently under fast-paced deadlines.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback while preserving visual quality, consistency, and adherence to the YETI brand.
• Retouch both product and on-model images with rapid turnaround.
• Collaborate with photographers and the Photo Studio team on concepts and executions, offering ideas when suitable.
• Prioritize tasks based on deadlines and image volume in a high-output environment.
• Act as a guardian of YETI’s brand identity in all in-house creative work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Over 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in a studio setting, focused on eCommerce photo retouching.
• Proficiency with Mac OS, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite essential.
• Strong attention to detail, organized work habits, and a methodical approach to photo editing.
• Keen interest in exploring new techniques to improve established workflows.
• Solid understanding of studio photography concepts and terminology.
• Ability to solve defined and moderately complex problems with guidance for ambiguous situations.
• Passion for the photographic and technical aspects of image production.
• High standards for quality and precision.
• Effective team player who can manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude.
